Rotary names new president, honors long-serving member

On December 18, the Milford-Matamoras Rotary Club presented Bill Kerstetter with a plaque honoring him as the Rotarian of the Year for 2024. Kerstetter has been a Milford-Matamoras Rotary Club member since 1988. He has also been the club treasurer for the past 19 years.

In its announcement, the Rotary said Kerstetter “truly enjoys all the community service projects that Rotary has been involved with,” adding, “The Rotary Club is very lucky to have him as a member.”

During the meeting, the Rotary also presented Shaun Burger with a plaque honoring his 18 months serving as president of the club. Burger then passed the torch to Jamie Dykstra who will serve as the Rotary’s new president. Candace Mahala will serve as vice president.

“Our local Rotary club has grown significantly and has helped a lot of people, and Shaun has shown true leadership and dedication,” The Rotary said.
