Rotary raises hundreds to fight polio
Milford. The funds came from the Rotary’s annual Pints for Polio campaign.
On Thursday, October 24 the Milford-Matamoras Rotary Club hosted its annual Pints for Polio event at the Dimmick Inn in Milford. With a donation of $20, beer and pizza were provided to all attendees.
“Our club wishes to thank the Dimmick Inn for their fantastic job hosting and generous donation. Our club also would like to thank everyone who attended and helped us raise $650 to continue the battle against polio. A great time was had by all,” a Rotary spokesperson said.
The cause was to raise funds to help support Rotary’s polio eradication efforts which is the largest most ambitious global public health program in history. These funds help the Rotary protect children from a paralyzing disease.
