The Pike County Conservation District still has spots available for the final workshop in its “From Source to Sink” series of groundwater education programs. Attendees will learn about drinking water basics, common contaminants, wells, protecting drinking water sources, zones of protection, and resources for avoiding common contaminants.
The last workshop will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the Lackawaxen Township Building (169 Urban Rd, Hawley, PA 18428) beginning at 5:30 p.m. The first 27 Pike County private well owners to register for and attend the program will receive a water test kit and shipping voucher free of charge from the Penn State Ag Analytical Services Lab. Test kits and vouchers are still available, but registrations are filling quickly! Secure your spot by registering online at bit.ly/pccdsource2sink or by calling the District at 570-226-8220.
The “From Source to Sink” series is funded by a PA DEP mini-grant and held in partnership with Penn State Extension, Penn State Ag Analytical Services Lab, and PA Rural Water.
