Skyland Pediatrics welcomes new doctor

Dr. Alexis Capozzoli, MD, will be joining the staff of Skylands Pediatrics. Skylands Pediatrics has been providing care to the community since 1976, serving Sussex County, N.J. and Pike County, Pa.

Skylands Pediatrics has offices located in Sparta and Franklin, N.J. and Milford, Pa., providing care from birth to 21 years of age. The Sparta office of Skylands Pediatrics is open seven days a week.

Dr. Capozzoli completed her pediatric residency at Morristown Medical Center. She received her undergraduate degree from American University, in Washington, D.C., which included the study of Medical Ethics in Copenhagen, Denmark. Dr. Capozzoli’s medical degree was obtained from St. Georges Medical School in Grenada.

Dr. Capozzoli holds a certification in Global Heath and had traveled to Haiti in 2013 as part of a medical mission, providing care to adults and children.

She was awarded the 2013 BBN Foundation Award for Compassionate Communication in Healthcare. Areas of professional interest include the medical care of children with developmental delays and disabilities.

Dr. Capozzoli will be on staff at both Newton and Morristown Medical Centers. Dr. Capozzoli will be accepting new patients in the Sparta, N.J. Franklin, N.J. and Milford Pa. offices.
