MILFORD — Former Solicitor John Klemeyer was honored May 10 at Milford Borough Hall for his service during 40 years of "great historical change in the borough."
Borough President Patrick Beck and Bo Fein, the former mayor, presented Klemeyer with proclamation filled with praise (see sidebar).
The lawyer was thanked for his guidance and wisdom during four decades of "invaluable and honorable years of commitment to Milford."
Fein read the text of the proclamation, which he said was drafted "with special input from Former Secretary Lizanne Samuelson and others who have fond memories of working with Klemeyer."
Klemeyer is also an actor, director, and playwright. He will stage his latest play, "A Handbasket to Hell," at the Waterwheel Cafe, Bakery & Bar, at 150 Water Street on June 3, 4, 10 and 11.
Klemeyer has written five staged plays in all. One of them, "Negatives," was staged in New York City on Theatre Row in 2007.
