Source water protection plan ordinance language discussed, reviewed
Milford Township. The Water Authority requested their right for review in reference to the source water protection plan.
The Watershed and Wellhead Ordinance was a main topic of discussion during the April 17, 2023 Milford Township Supervisors meeting.
The Milford Water Authority would like to add in the ordinance their right for review and recommendation purposes in reference to the source water protection plan. The planning commission has recommended that such language should be added to the draft according to Solicitor Anthony Magnotta.
The board approved the motion to send the ordinance 426.2E with the incorporated language and to send an amendment to the county planning board for their comment according to Supervisor Rachel Hendricks.
The supervisors were not able to discuss the warehouse proposal outside of the supervisors until the hearing on May 22 at 6 p.m. at Delaware Valley High School, according to Hendricks.
“We want to keep everything appropriate and legal,” Hendricks said.
A comprehensive plan survey will be available for people to fill out during the primary election at the municipality building. It will not be in the room where the voting takes place, but outside of it in order to make sure that it is not confused with casting of ballots. Hendricks said it is a short survey with about five questions.
“This is the biggest traffic day we get for the building from the two election days, so we think it is the best shot,” said Hendricks.
Milford Township is awaiting a recommendation for the amendment of the Zoning Ordinance 407.2 from the planning board. There will be more changes coming for that proposal according to Supervisor Hendricks.
A hearing was scheduled for the National Land Developers Conditional Use Application at Delaware Valley High School auditorium on May 22, 2023 from 6 to 9 p.m.
