Students celebrate Summer Reading Challenge with a party

Matamoras. Students at Delaware Valley Elementary School were challenged last year to read. Students who participated were given a game board paper. Every time they read for 20 minutes, they colored in a box on a board provided to them. Once they read for 1,000 minutes, they handed in their paper at the beginning of the school year and they qualified for an invite to an ice cream party and to read aloud with the reading teachers. The students held their celebratory ice cream party last week.
