Summer internships available at Grey Towers
MILFORD — Applications currently are being accepted for summer internships at Grey Towers National Historic Site in Milford.
College students interested in parks and recreation, history, gardening and landscape architecture and forestry are encouraged to apply. They can earn anywhere from a $75-per-week subsistence allowance to $2,500 for the 12-week season, May through August, depending on the internship. Housing on the historic estate and uniforms may be available.
The internships are as follows:
Education/Interpretation/Visitor Services: Multiple 12-week internships will hone students' visitor services skills through delivering interpretive mansion tours and education programs. Students will learn public speaking, communication, and research skills, and complete one research/interpretive project. The deadline to apply is March 1 for the internship. Gardening/Horticulture: Two opportunities are available, each providing practical, hands-on experience for a motivated undergraduate who wants to apply horticultural theory learned in the classroom.
