The re-designed Pike County Courier debuts online
MILFORD — Straus News, headquartered in Chester, N.Y., has launched strategically redesigned websites for The Pike County Courier, one of its nine newspapers, and for dirt magazine.
The new website (pikecountycourier.com) empowers editors to publish local news and information quickly and easily. For readers, the re-designed site eases reader access to the breadth and depth of The Pike County Courier's local news reporting.

Updated daily and as local news develops, the new site offers readers more multimedia content, including photos, slideshows, and videos. The front page now displays local photo galleries. In addition, advertisers can deploy a richer array of tools to reach the news site's engaged local audience.

The new site will continue in its role as “community water cooler” and encourages discussion of important local topics. Readers who wish to comment on stories, or add to the newspaper's reporting, may continue to do so anonymously—with a nickname—after they register with a valid email address.
