Wayne Bank sponsors new scoreboard at DVHS

Wayne Bank recently donated $10,000 to help fund a new digital scoreboard for Delaware Valley School District.

“With the help of the bank’s sponsorship, Delaware Valley stadium will have a brand-new, state of the art digital scoreboard installed this spring,” said Wayne Bank Milford Community Office Manager Madeline Portugal. “Switching to digital is a technological upgrade for the school, that will not only allow them to run commercials and promotional opportunities which will be refreshed throughout the year but will also ensure that all advertising runs efficiently across the screen. As part of a total stadium upgrade, this is very exciting for not only the students and staff, but also for their families and members of the community as well.”

The funds were contributed to the school district’s Delaware Valley Educational Fund, a non-profit, educational and charitable community organization that works to secure resources from individuals, corporations, community organizations and foundations to be distributed in support of programs benefiting students in the Delaware Valley School District.

Wayne Bank is a subsidiary of Norwood Financial Corp. and is located in Honesdale.
