Workforce Development Agency rebrands to Pike County Career Center
Milford. It will still offer the same services to employers and job seekers.

The Pike County Workforce Development Agency, located on Route 6 in Shohola, announced its rebranding as the Pike County Career Center. The Pike County Career Center is a federally funded county agency operating under the guidelines set forth in the Workforce Investment Act.
“By building upon close working relationships already in place between local partners involved in workforce and economic development, the office strives to bridge the gap between employers and job seekers,” the agency said in its announcement.
Career Center Director Cynthia DeFebo said the essential services offered by the agency will remain unchanged and continue to include the following at no cost:
For workers:
• Access to PA CareerLink job listings
• Career counseling
• Resume development
• Funding for occupational skills training
• Summer youth employment and training programs, including internships
• An on-site resource room equipped with PCs, job postings, and more
• Transitional employment services
For employers:
• Online job postings
• Skill match referrals
• On-site recruitment and job fairs
• Labor market information
• On-the-job training with 50% salary reimbursement
• Incumbent worker training funds
Pike County Commissioner Matthew Osterberg said, “The Pike County Career Center will better represent our mission and the valuable services we offer. We want to ensure that both employers and job seekers understand the full range of support available to them.”
The Pike County Career Center invites employers and job seekers to visit the center to explore the many resources and programs available.
To complete the rebranding, the career center website (pikepa.org/careercenter) will undergo a redesign “aimed at providing a user-friendly experience that showcases the office’s services and offerings while better connecting users with the resources they seek,” the agency explained.
