Matamoras. The job fair will include more than 70 employers from the tri-state area.
WORKING PIKE, the area’s largest job fair, is back for its seventh year, on Tuesday, April 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Best Western Inn at Hunts Landing (120 Route 6, Matamoras).
In an announcement, Pike County said more than 70 employers from across the tri-state area are expected to attend, with openings in a variety of fields. There is no fee for job seekers and no RSVP necessary.
Workforce Development Agency Director Cindy DeFebo said, “Whether you are seeking a career in healthcare or manufacturing, or if you are just looking to explore your options, the WORKING PIKE Job Fair has something for everyone. We hope to see you on April 9th at the Best Western Inn.”
The Workforce Development Agency is also available to help update resumes prior to the fair. Contact the office at 570-296-2909 to schedule an appointment.
This year’s WORKING PIKE sponsors include Lackawanna College Lake Region Center, Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau, Bold Gold Media Group, and Best Western Inn at Hunts Landing.
Call for employers
For employers looking for qualified candidates to fill vacancies, there’s still time to participate in the WORKING PIKE Job Fair. Spots are limited so the Pike County Workforce Development Agency encourages employers to resister early. The fee for employers is $55. The deadline for employers to register to have a table is March 29.
Employers must register online using the WORKING PIKE Job Fair registration forms available on the Workforce page of the county website: pikepa.org/workforce.
This year, employers have the option to pay either online or by check. Employers who choose to pay online by credit card will incur a 3% processing fee.
