Dispositions in Pike County Court

Milford. Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin announced the criminal sentences issued on Feb. 4 by Pike County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Gregory Chelak.

Marcus William Purdy, 25, of Carbondale, Pa., was sentenced to the Intermediate Punishment (IP) Restrictive Condition Program for 6 months, which will include 30 days of house arrest, 6 months of probation, a fine of $1,000, and driver’s license suspension of 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. Purdy was stopped by the state police on Nov. 23, 2020, for driving erratically along I-84 in Palmyra Township. Purdy was observed to have glassy, bloodshot eyes. Field sobriety tests showed impairment, and a blood test confirmed a blood-alcohol content of 0.259%.

Clark Kuhlman, 51, of Milford, Pa., was sentenced to the Pike Care Program, which will include 5 years of probation, 90 days of house arrest, a fine of $1,500, and a driver’s license suspension of 18 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. The state police responded to a report that Kuhlman had driven his vehicle into a ditch in the area of Silver Lake Road and East Bridge Way in Delaware Township on May 13, 2020. A breath test of Kuhlman confirmed a blood-alcohol content of 0.165%.

Jeffrey Allen Mohr, 67, of Greeley, Pa., was sentenced to 6 months of the Pike Care Program, which will include 30 days of house arrest, a fine of $1,000, and driver’s license suspension of 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. The state police were dispatched to Market Road in Lackawaxen Township, where Mohr had driven off the road and struck a tree on June 9, 2020. When contact was made with Mohr, Mohr was observed to have glassy, bloodshot eyes and emanating the smell of an alcoholic beverage. Mohr admitted to drinking prior to driving. A blood test confirmed a blood-alcohol content of 0.223%.

Brian Richard Altomare, 39, of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., was sentenced to 5 years of the Pike Care Program which will include 6 months of house arrest, a fine of $1,500, and a driver’s license suspension of 18 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. The state police stopped Altomare along SR 739 in Delaware Township on February 29, 2020. The trooper detected the smell of an alcoholic beverage and observed Altomare acting in a confused manner and exhibiting signs of impairment during field sobriety tests. A blood test confirmed a blood-alcohol content of 0.245%.

Kimberley Jacob, 52, of Milford, Pa., was sentenced to 12 months to 36 months in a state correctional facility and fined $700 for the crime of Forgery and 2 counts of the crime of Bad Check. Jacob forged the name of the account holder on a check in the amount of $1,495.50 at a residence in Milford Borough on May 4, 2015, and issued the check for payment knowing it would not be honored. On June 1, 2014, Jacob submitted a check to the probation office in Milford Borough in the amount of $300 knowing that the check would not be honored.

Rochelle Emma Ann Holmes, 32, of Lackawaxen Township, Pa., was sentenced to 4 months to 18 months in the Pike County Jail and fined $200 for the crime of Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Access Device Fraud. From approximately March 12, 2020, through April 24, 2020, Holmes, together with her co-conspirator planned to take a credit card from a residence in Lackawaxen Township and use it to make purchases at various locations in Pike County, without the cardholder’s knowledge.

Jalyn Nicole Figueroa, 20, of Taylor, Pa., was sentenced to 6 months of probation and fined $300 for the crime of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Figueroa was stopped by the state police while traveling along SR 507 in Blooming Grove Township for an expired registration on Jan. 12, 2019. While speaking with Figueroa, the trooper detected the smell of marijuana. A probable cause search revealed a pill bottle, glass tube and a pipe.

Christopher Ruiz, 33, of New York, N.Y., was sentenced to 18 months of probation and fined $500 for the crime of Access Device Fraud. Ruiz used a credit card of a Pike County resident to make a child support payment in the amount of $457 on June 4, 2018, without the authorization of the card holder.

James E. Centauro, 19, of Sparrowbush, N.Y., was sentenced to a fine of $400 for the crime of Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana. Milford Borough Police were alerted to individuals smoking marijuana in their vehicle along East Catherine Street on Aug. 25, 2020. A consent to search the vehicle revealed a small amount of marijuana.

Kelley J. Maney, 51, of Milford, Pa., was sentenced to the Pike Care Program, which will include 5 years of probation, 90 days of house arrest, a fine of $1,700, and a driver’s license suspension of 30 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence and the Summary Offense of Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked. The state police were dispatched to SR 739 in Blooming Grove Township, where Maney hit a guardrail on Feb. 2, 2020, and sustained injuries when she hit the windshield. Maney was emanating the smell of an alcoholic beverage, and a blood draw revealed a blood-alcohol content of 0.186%. Maney was also found to be driving on a suspended license.

Tyrek Thomas Cousar, 20, of Bushkill, Pa., was sentenced to 2 years of probation and fined $1,000 for the crimes of Terroristic Threats, Criminal Trespass, and Criminal Mischief. Between Nov. 15, 2019, and Nove. 20, 2019, Cousar damaged a kitchen window and sliding glass door to gain entry into a residence in Lehman Township knowing that he did not have permission to do so. On Nov. 27, 2019, Cousar acted in a threatening manner towards the residents in a home in Lehman Township, where he threatened a crime of violence by throwing rocks at the residence and vehicle.
