Poster contest celebrates peace

DINGMAN - Karen Wolsiefer, a seventh grade student at Dingman-Delaware Middle School, is this year’s winner of the “Peace Poster Contest” sponsored by the Lions Club of Dingmans Ferry. The theme of this year’s contest was, “Celebrate Peace.” Karen designed her poster in Lisa Sakoutis’ art class as a class project. She was awarded a certificate and a $50 savings bond for her poster. Karen’s drawing/print, done in pastels and ink, will move up the district level for judging. The contest is international, with several levels of competition.
