Report says first-time home buyers on the rise in Pike County
MILFORD - First Horizon Home Loans reports that there has been a recent surge in first-time home buyers in the Pike County area. While interest rates have risen slightly, the various first time home buyer programs available have made the dream of home ownership a reality for many of the area’s renters. Darren Lowell, the manager of the Milford branch, indicates that the first-time buyer increase is fueled by three fundamental elements: below market rates, 0-5% down and more flexibility with purchase price restrictions in our area. “First-time home buyer programs can be a great way for any one who has not owned a home in the past three years to stop renting and start owning”. Programs are credit and income sensitive. For further information, contact Darren Lowell at 570-296-6330.
