A building season for a young team

WESTFALL - The recently completed season was unkind to the Delaware Valley girls basketball team as they finished with twice as many losses as they did wins, 8-16. The team loses two seniors, Stephanie Halliday and Heather Hagan. Hagan was out with an injury all season. Head coach Joseph Sain spoke of this young team, saying that they were inexperienced but were very willing to learn the game. “They were a JV team playing a varsity schedule.” According to Sain, the girls showed up in an intense mood everyday for practice. Though they started off relatively well in the beginning of the season, they went on to finish “not so good.” Sain went on to predict that next year looks much more promising.
