Delaware Valley outplays the competition
Milford. Athletic talent can be seen in several sports this school district offers.
Readers, folks and friends, I take pleasure in informing you that Delaware Valley is off to a terrific start of the sports season. Delaware Valley girls are establishing the bar for all sports so far. The girls’ soccer team are the District 2 champs, having defeated Williamsport and are marching on to the states.
The girls’ volleyball team also won the District 2 Quarterfinal title.
On to the boys. Tall and multi-talented, Chris U’Glay, who has set about all records in volleyball, has just signed to attend Division 1 Merrimack College and bring his talents there. U’Glay is also on the basketball team and the golf team.
Did I mention that U’Glay is billed at 6’7’’. Hmm, when I stand next to him he looks more like 6’6’’ but he plays like he’s 6’9’’ so who’s counting. Did I mention that U’Glay was selected to the all-state second string team. How about that he is flat out the leader of the volleyball team and one season so far led them to a district title.
I look forward to watching him for the rest of the year.
Keep up the good work U’Glay, and as for the girls, you too. You have set the standard for the school. You are amazing and are doing the community proud.
