Delaware Valley swims to victory in several categories

The Delaware Valley swim team attended the Leslie Richards Invitational Meet on Saturday, February 17. Due to the morning snow, the meet was delayed and shortened to timed finals only.
The day began with the Delaware Valley men’s swim team being awarded the Lackawanna League Champions plaque. The men’s swim team went undefeated for the second year in a row.
Both the men’s and women’s teams won many top finishes during the day. Junior Liam Fass was a significant contributor, placing first in the 500-yard freestyle, third in the medley relay and third in the backstroke. He also earned a gold medal for his team’s 400-yard relay win, featuring Ryan O’Connell, Dean Finelli, Tyler Ingraham, and Fass. Freshman swimmer Ryan O’Connell also took home four medals for the day.

Women’s: Maya Sussman, Anaya Ruiz, JoAnn Jagger, Olivia Cruz earned third place
Men’s: Liam Fass, Doug Jacobs, Shane Naturale, Alex Corcoran earned third place
200-yard freestyle
Men’s: Tyler Ingraham earned fifth place
200-yard individual medley
Women’s: Anaya Ruiz won third place
Men’s: Ryan O’Connell won third place
50-yard freestyle
Women’s: Olivia Cruz won sixth place
Men’s: Joey Kessler earned fifth place
100-yard butterfly
Women’s: JoAnn Jagger earned fifth place
100-yard freestyle
Women’s: Anaya Ruiz earned fifth place
Men’s: Ryan O’Connell earned third place and Joey Kessler earned fifth place
