Dube signs with The College of St. Rose

WESTFALL — Delaware Valley volleyball player Carissa Dube has accepted an athletic scholarship to The College of St. Rose in Albany, N.Y.

The College of St. Rose is a member of the NCCA Division II Conference. As a Lady Warrior, Dube was a varsity captain this past season and was the named the Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1 MVP. She was also named MVP by the Warriors volleyball program. Dube was also named to the WVC Coaches All-Star First Team. Furthermore, she was named an All-Region player and named to the Senior All-Star team.

Dube played on the IREVA Junior International Team in 2010 and 2011. She also made the Kaepa Whoosh Volleyball Club in 2011 and 2012. Lastly, Dube received a scholarship to play at the World Training Center Volleyball Camp.

Dube was part of the team when they won Districts in 2008, 2010 and 2011.

She is also a manager of the boys’ varsity volleyball team and an assistant coach of the Delaware Rafters volleyball team.

Dube enjoys working with the adaptive gym class at DV, which helps special education students participate in physical education class.

She intends to major in forensics at St. Rose.

Dube is the daughter of Andreas and Kelly Dube of Milford.
