Gold Key run/walk to benefit Wounded Warriors

MILFORD — Gold Key Country Club is holding its first annual Gold Key 5K Run/Walk and Kids’ Run at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4.

Proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project and the Gators Swim Team.

Winners in each age group will be recognized as part of an awards ceremony at the end of the race.

Online registration (Facebook/GoldKey5K) costs $20 for adults, $15 for students, and $50 for a family. Registration is also available on the day of the event, but an increased rate of $25 will apply.

All preregistered runners will receive a race t-shirt. Awards will be given to the top three runners and the top three walkers in each age group. There will also be a free kids' fun run beginning at 10:30 a.m. for children 2 to 8 years of age.

The race starts at Heron Bay over the bridge, left on Yale, left on Slaymaker, left on Schlage, and ends at beach.
