DINGMAN - Swimmer Tara Aumick will be among 16 athletes representing Pennsylvania at the 2007 Special Olympics World Finals in Shanghai, China. Delaware Valley Special Education teacher and area co-manager for the Special Olympics, Eric Kudrich, introducied Aumick at the Oct. 19 meeting of the district’s board of education. Kudrich said Aumick is the first Delaware Valley student-athlete ever chosen for the games, and one very few ever from the five-county area. The games will be the first ever staged in Asia and are scheduled from Oct. 10-19. Some 7,000 athletes are expected to participate.
