To the Editor:
What an affirmation of humanity and conscience to join hundreds and hundreds of others -- in person, on Zoom, and in passing honking cars and motorcycles -- at the Milford vigil, speeches, and protest march celebrating the life of George Floyd, the innocent man choked to death by rogue Minneapolis police.
The racism that still exists in our country is abhorrent but was deflected for an hour as local citizens of all faiths, colors, sexual orientations and ages converged at the Pike County Courthouse and marched on Broad Street in a peaceful demonstration of support and the need to bring the guilty (in Minneapolis and across the country) to justice.
