I am very proud to have the opportunity to vote for Christa Caceres for Pike County Commissioner in November. It is high time that a woman be put in a position to influence the life and wellbeing of women and families in Pike County. It is great that we may finally be getting urgent care facilities within the county and that the commissioners are trying to get a mini hospital, but maternity care and women’s health services continue to be woefully lacking. The expansion of addiction and mental health services is also urgently needed and must be the county’s health care priority. Why do we have to travel out of the county and out of the state to get access to quality health care services? It’s time for a change and I encourage voters to put Christa on the commission.
