Jeff Olsommer will ‘fight to get things done for all in our district’

I am the president and assistant fire chief of the Hawley Fire Department and am absolutely supporting Jeff Olsommer for the 139th State Representative seat in Harrisburg on Nov. 5.

If you should ever need your local fire department or any other first responders, you better make sure the one you vote for on Nov. 5 has the right local leadership experience, common sense, fortitude, intelligence, and tenacity to stand strong in Harrisburg and fight to get things done for all in our district.

Jeff Olsommer has been to our fire departments to ask us what we need. Robin Skibber hasn’t. Enough said.

As a former elected township supervisor, Jeff has first-hand experience in working with first responders and their needs. With this experience he brings much more to the table than someone who has absolutely no experience in government.

State Representative Jeff Olsommer is currently working hard to help our local fire departments get the much needed funding they need to be able to afford the outrageous costs of operations.

In his short time as our state representative of the 139th he has supported several local fire departments’ needs. One of his priorities is to help our volunteer firefighters and first responders to get a reduction in their taxes for volunteers with tenured service.

Jeff is also looking to support one of several other House bills that reduce taxes for volunteers and offer tuition relief for training and secondary education up to $5,000.

Currently there are 30,000 volunteers in Pennsylvania, down from 300,000 over the past 35 years. Our first responders are too important to just stand by.

We need real action by our government officials to help our first responders. Jeff Olsommer is an excellent state representative. I’m asking for you to join me in voting for Jeff Olsommer for state representative for the 139th District.
