Dear editor,
This year the annual observation of Vietnam War Veterans Day takes on profound significance. Wednesday, March 29, is exactly 50 years from the day our last combat troops left Vietnam. The Department of Veterans Affairs estimates that there are more than 7 million U.S. Vietnam Vets along with 10 million families of those who served.
There will be a ceremony to mark this event at Veterans Park in Milford at 11:00 a.m. The primary purpose is to thank and honor our Vietnam Veterans and their families and show our appreciation for their service and sacrifice on behalf of our grateful nation.
Help us ensure that every veteran, family, caregiver, and survivor impacted by the difficult years in Vietnam feels our gratitude for their sacrifice.
Please join us in uniting to thank our hometown heroes by attending the event and encouraging your friends and neighbors to join us for this long overdue remembrance.
