During his time representing Pike County in Congress, Matt Cartwright has shown us time and time again that we can count on him to deliver for our community.
As congressman, Matt has consistently brought federal dollars back to northeastern Pennsylvania to promote improved quality of life, support economic development and make sure we get our fair share of federal funding.
Earlier this year, Matt secured nearly $3.5 million for storm water drainage system upgrades in Milford Borough. This project will provide much-needed improvements to, and expansion of, our storm water drainage system.
The improvements will help reduce surface run-off into the Delaware River and modernize critical infrastructure that supports our central business district. Anyone who has seen the “lakes” forming at intersections or storm water geysering out of drop basins during heavy storms, understands how urgently this is needed.
That is but one example. Matt and his staff are diligent in alerting elected officials and civic leaders to funding opportunities and in providing guidance and assistance, whether it is for infrastructure, police, fire and emergency services, or other needs.
Congressman Cartwright invests in the future of our community, and that is why I’m supporting him for reelection. Let’s send Matt Cartwright back to Congress, where I know he’ll continue to be a fighter for us.
