I’m writing to complain about the ridiculous number of political signs placed by a group running for the school board.
I can understand a few well-placed signs, but these people have desecrated our beautiful country roads and even the Milford verge with hundreds of ugly signs, turning our highways and byways into a littered, ugly mess.
Naturally, the signs don’t mention what they stand for, but take a closer look and you’ll see the offenders are a band of self-proclaimed “Patriots” who want to ban books in schools and so much more.
Their inspiration is reflected in the latest radical Moms for Liberty movement which has sprung up among mostly uneducated people whose desire is to take over and control school boards around the country.
In typical fashion, they think they know best and know more than highly-trained professional educators.
Like Moms for Liberty, which is really Moms for Suppression, these Patriots don’t know the first thing about patriotism or the freedom for which America stands.
I don’t vote for people who litter our roads and espouse anti-freedom sentiments.
They’ve already begun to turn America the Beautiful into America the Censored.
Please vote in the primary on May 16 for Rosemary Murphy and Brian Carso, who are the only nominees for the school board who seem to recognize the true meaning of freedom and patriotism - and who don’t desecrate our beautiful Pike County.
