‘Robin Skibber puts care into action’

Robin Skibber is running for the 139th District seat in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. She’s the Democratic nominee, but is supported by a lot of Republicans and Independents because of her history of working in a bi-partisan manner.

Her opponent, Jeff Olsommer, is a Trump Republican (he has given to Trump’s campaign and PACS 29 times, according to the Federal Elections Commission).

Since her childhood years in Blooming Grove, working in her family’s Mountain Merchant Country Store, Skibber has worked to improve the lives of Pennsylvanians of all stripes. She has advocated for better healthcare for vets, for the elderly (she established four senior centers), for better mental health care, better care for those with dementia, for better addiction treatment.

She’s also a wife, mother of two, and a fierce advocate for a woman’s healthcare, particularly every woman’s right to bodily autonomy and control over her reproductive healthcare. Skibber will fight to keep Pennsylvania a pro-choice state.

Olsommer is the anti-candidate for the seat: anti-marriage equality, anti-common sense red flag gun laws, anti-open primaries that allow Independents to vote. And he is anti-choice and endorsed by the Pro-Life Federation of Pennsylvania, which is advocating for an anti-abortion amendment to the Pennsylvania Constitution.

In states with abortion bans, women must ask themselves brutal questions: What if there are complications? What if I have a miscarriage? Will I go to jail? Will I die?

Abortion bans are cruel laws written by men who will never have to ask themselves these questions. Our daughters, our wives, ourselves shouldn’t have to ask them either.

I will vote for Robin Skibber because she cares about the lives of all Pennsylvanians. Skibber’s life’s work has shown she can put that care into action.

I will vote for Robin Skibber because she will work tirelessly to protect a woman’s right to choose.

And I will vote for Robin Skibber with all my heart because I have a daughter.
