My Sunrise is okay

To the editor: I read the article appearing in the March 24 issue of the Courier and wondered if there is another Sunrise Lake around besides the one that Mrs. Neitzel describes. I don’t know what was going on in front of her house five years ago that scared her into calling the State Police, but as far as I know for the last four years there has not been a gang war here. No, it’s not perfect. No place is. And yes, it is rural, so we have some accomodations, like paying for our own garbage collection, etc. But to dislike a place so much and stay anyway makes no sense to me. Nor does it make any sense to advertise to the world how much you hate your home. So, here’s some advise, Mrs. Neitzel. Pack up, move back to Fishkill quietly and find yourself a nicer neighborhood to live in (good luck with that by the way). We’ll try not to miss you too much. Janice Scherwitz Sunrise Lake
