Pike Democrats reorganize
To the editor: The Pike County Democratic Committee is seeking to increase representation of Democrats, particularly in Lehman, Lackawaxen, Porter and Palymra Townships. The committee’s new officers, Chair Phil Scollo, of Dingmans; Vice Chair Jenni Hammill and Secretary Patti Shreiner, both of Shohola; Treasurer Peggy Owens, of Dingmans; and State Representative Marian Keegan, of Blooming Grove, will launch new campaign programs at the committee’s June 22 meeting. The group is particularly seeking democrats with skills and/or interest in communications, technology, Web design/maintenance and fundraising. People with these skills, and all Democrats, are invited to attend the monthly meeting of the Democratic Committee at 7 p.m., on Thursday, June 22 at the Laurel Ridge Restaurant on Route 739, 1 1/3 miles south of Exit 34 of I-84.
