Thanks for the help

To the editor, The Board of Directors of the Pike County Humane Society realized that we have neglected to thank you for your articles that brought attention to our cry for financial support so that the shelter could remain open. We couldn’t be more grateful for the outpouring of generosity that your articles helped to generate. We have received not only financial donations but donations of dog and cat food, cleaning supplies, scoopable cat litter as well as blankets for the dogs and cats to sleep on. The animals in our care now have a warm place to stay, food to eat and blankets to snuggle into until they are adopted into their forever homes. We would also like to publicly thank all the groups and organizations and municipalities which are too numerous to list here, for their concern and for answering our plea for help. We sincerely thank you and the community for helping us overcome our financial crisis. We appreciate you for helping us raise awareness that the PCHS depends on the constant flow of donations in order to remain open. We have been in existence for 42 years and with continuing financial support we will be able to assist the citizens and animals of Pike County for another 142 years!
