Milford. Entries for Black Bear Film Festival, poster contest now open

Submissions for films to be screened for the 24th annual Black Bear Film Festival are now open.

The festival will be held Oct. 13, 14 and 15, 2023. Films will be shown on the second and third day, and an awards ceremony will take place on the last day at the Milford Theater, 114 E. Catharine St. in Milford, PA.

Entries for the Black Bear Poster Contest are also being accepted, but only through April 14, 2023. To request a submission form or more information, email blackbearff@gmail.com.

Welcoming filmmakers for over two decades to share their stories, the festival’s mission is to inspire and celebrate independent film, encouraging artistic expression and discussion. Filmmakers are offered the opportunity to speak about their films and interact with audiences during Q&A sessions at the historic Milford Theater and Film Salon.
