“Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.”
Barbara Warfsman, 77, of Matamoras, Pennsylvania, passed away at home on February 1, 2025.
Barbara was born on September 7, 1947, to Robert E Wolfe and Dorothy F (Stumpp) Wolfe of Grain Valley, Mo. Barbara attended Grain Valley High School before completing her bachelor’s degree at Central Missouri State University. Barbara began her career as a math teacher in the Kansas City area and retired as a computer programmer from Agere Systems in 2003.
Barbara had an incredible love for her five grandchildren and was so proud of them. She enjoyed her retirement quilting, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She shared her love of all animals, especially her horses and her dogs, with everyone she met. One fact no one can deny is her endless, unconditional love for the Kanas City Chiefs.
Barbara leaves behind to cherish her memories, her children Elizabeth and her husband Dick Tjepkema of The Netherlands, Julie and her husband Russell Scull II of Connecticut, and Robert Warfsman and his wife Joy of Pennsylvania; her grandchildren Alexander, Emily, Thomas, Madison, and Ryan; her sisters Beverly and her husband Carl Sallee of Blue Springs, Mo., and Alice and her husband Jim Sohl of Paducah, Kentucky. She is further survived by her beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
