It is with great sorrow that the family of Ellen Mae Orben reports her passing on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, Mom Mom, sister, aunt, partner and friend.
The daughter of Edward N. and Mae (Merdes) Lloyd, she was born on March 28, 1951, in Port Jervis, N.Y.
Ellen worked as a Registered Nurse for the former Mercy Community Hospital in Port Jervis, N.Y., then was a devoted school nurse for the Delaware Valley School District for more than 20 years.
Ellen actively served as the treasurer for the Milford Garden Club and was an avid Mahjong player.
In her free time, Ellen would enjoy travelling near and far with her family and fiancé.
Left to cherish her memory are her fiancé Bill; her children Kimberly Orben, Janine Howard and her husband Jake, as well as their father, John Orben; grandchildren Addison, Liam and Braden; brother Raymond Lloyd; sister Karen Lloyd; sister-in-law Cathie Jo Jacobson; nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
Cremation was privately held at convenience to the family.
Friends visited with the family at the Milford United Methodist Church, 206 E. Ann St., Milford, Pa., April 7.
Memorial services followed at the church with the Rev. Thomas Mortenson officiating.
