For 55 years Americans have been celebrating Earth Day, and the Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) has been celebrating nearly as long.

While every day is Earth Day at PEEC, the community is invited to join PEEC staff, vendors, partners and friends for the festival celebration:

Children running, shouting and laughing as they play outdoor games and create nature crafts; adults chatting over festival food and enjoying live music or browsing vendor tables; all ages captivated at the live animal show – these are the essential elements of PEEC’s annual Earth Day Celebration.

Pocono Environmental Education Center’s Earth Day Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 26. There will be a variety of vendors showcasing eco-friendly products and services, as well as live music, educational displays and hands-on activities for all ages.

Stroll through the vendor booths and learn about sustainable living, renewable energy, organic gardening, recycling, and more. Purchase locally made crafts, natural beauty products and environmentally friendly household items to support green businesses and reduce your carbon footprint.

Kids will love the interactive exhibits and games, such as spring arts and crafts, tie-dying, field games and a live animal presentation.

Stop by the National Park Service activity stations and earn your Junior Ranger Badges.

Join mural artist Eurhi Jones and her team to contribute to a hands-on art project geared toward protecting birds.

Admission is $5 per car, so bring your friends and family and join us for a day of celebrating and caring for our Earth.

PEEC is located at 538 Emery Road, Dingmans Ferry, PA 18328.
