Milford. Lily Pond will be stocked for the annual Pike County Commissioners Fishing Derby on April 26

Lily Pond will be stocked with a combination of 500 brook, golden and rainbow trout in preparation of the 27th annual Commissioners Fishing Derby on Saturday, April 26.

The derby will run from 8 a.m. until noon, rain or shine. Pike County children 15 and under are invited to participate, try their luck at catching fish and compete for prizes.

The pond stocking, made possible by a $5,000 donation from Northwell Health, will take place at 7 a.m. on derby day. Everyone is welcome to come early to assist with the stocking process.

Registration is free and can be completed online at www.pikepa.org/fishingderby.

Online registration will close Friday, April 25, at 4 .pm. Don’t worry if you miss the online deadline, participants can still register at the derby. Each child must have their own registration signed by a parent or guardian to participate. Upon arrival, all participants should report to the cabin to check-in
